We Must Save The Planet!

This Tea Blog is sponsored by:  TEA CONTENT

Friday: I had a Flex Friday this Friday. I set my alarm for 7:15 A.M. and actually got out of bed. I wanted to take advantage of my day off. I let my dog out and then I went to McDonald’s for breakfast. I got the steak, egg, onion bagel with a hash brown and a vanilla ice coffee. I got home and ate my breakfast while surfing the net and watching tv. I did that for an hour and then I decided to mow my backyard. It really needed it and I figured I would get it out of the way while it was still relatively cool out. After mowing I pulled some weeds in my front yard. Then I came in about 11:00 A.M. to cool off. I watched the MLB channel for an hour. They had an old Mets game on. Then at 12:00 P.M. I went to Shop n Save to get some food for the weekend. That only took me 30 minutes. When I got back I made this dish I have been wanting to try. It’s a can of black beans, one can of dice tomatoes, and a little cilantro. I made some brown rice and then wrapped everything in some flour tortillas. It was very good and healthy as well. After the lunch I made my first tea of the day. It’s called Namring. Very sweet and floral. After the tea I wanted to run some errands. On June 1st I got some new glasses from Wal-Mart and they were stylish and had the small rectangular lenses. I didn’t like the fact that when you looked out of them some of your vision is cut off because the lenses are small. Wal-Mart has a great return policy. If you are not happy with the frames all you have to do is bring them back in 30 days and then pick out another frame. I went to Wal-Mart and found some new glasses. They are really lightweight and are the kind that you can bend without breaking. After that I bought some saline solution and some deodorant. After Wal-Mart I got my oil changed at Valvoline. Then I went to Mcdonald’s again to get a iced mocha latte. Those are excellent. I read for an hour. Then at 5:00 I listened to a Fantasy Baseball radio show on XM radio. After the show I heated some let over Thai noodle dish that I froze about a week ago. It was ok. Then I made some Yunnan Gold. Then I watched the Cardinals play the Twins. After the Cardinals I watched whatever baseball game was on until 12:00 A.M. Then I went to bed.

Saturday: I woke up around 9:00 A.M. and had a apple dumpling for breakfast. Along with the dumpling I had some brand new tea I got this week. It’s a Darjeeling tea called Risheehat. It is very complex and has peach undertones. It’s a first flush Darjeeling which means it’s the first picked Darjeeling of the growing season. It’s unbelievable. One of the best teas I have ever had. I played with my dog. Then I decided to start on my brother’s computer hard drive. He had some really bad spyware on his computer. I told him to send me the hard drive and I would go ahead and reimage it for him. Everything worked out ok. I watched some baseball and did some cleaning. I made some Yunnan Gold and made some more fajitas like I did on Friday. I also had some chips and salsa. I surfed the Internet for a while. Then I started watching baseball. Then at 10:00 P.M. I started watching a movie called, “Camille Claudel”. It was a French movie about a female French sculptor who was Rodin’s girlfriend. Rodin is famously known for sculpting the statue called The Thinker. Camille Claudel was a very good sculptor in her own right. Some say she was better than Rodin. She was madly in love with Rodin but Rodin wouldn’t marry her. The movie portrayed her life as a women in her 20’s until she died. When she was 50 her family sent her to a mental institute and she stayed there for 30 years until she died. It was an interesting but sad movie. Then I went to bed.

I couldn't find a trailer for "Camille Claudel" but here is a clip. It shows that Camille Claudel was crazy over Rodin.

Sunday: I got up and had some bad heartburn. I rarely get that. Sometimes I get it if I drink a lot of soda the day before. I usually don’t drink soda but the day before I had five cans of soda. I went a little overboard. The best thing to do is drink ice water. For breakfast I had some ice water and an apple. Then I cut my hair. I made some more fajitas. I really like those. Then I made some Risheehat Darjeeling tea . I watched some of the Marlins/Rays game and I also watched the Cards/Twins game. I cleaned the bathroom. After that I did some stretching. Right now I’m blogging. I’ll probably do some yoga tonight and watch the Yankees and Mets.

What happened on Friday? The media wasn’t covering it because they were distracted by Michael Jackson’s death. It’s sad when our society knows more about a pop singer than what their own government is doing to them. The answer is: Congress voted to pass the “The American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009.” This is otherwise known as the Cap and Trade Act. Our government is going to tax CO2 emissions. Energy companies, trucking companies, oil companies, farmers, and manufacturers will be heavily penalized for all their CO2 emissions. The government officials say this is done in the name of saving the planet. Anybody with a brain knows it’s done in the name of taking everybody’s money and sending it to Washington. The companies that get penalized for emissions will pass the cost on to you, the consumers. The people mostly affected by this are lower income people. They will have to pay more for food and gas. I thought Obama and the liberals in Congress wanted to help average Americans. All they want to do is control your life and take your money.

I think it’s silly when an adult believes in man made global warming. There is no proof that man made global warming exists. Other countries are not partaking is this silly initiative of taxing carbon emissions. This carbon tax will hurt us economically and made emerging countries like India and China stronger.

Another silly thing is that energy is a means to an end. People want cheap energy so they can spend their money on other essentials like food and housing. Our government wants to produce green energy. Do you know how ridiculous this is? We already have cheap energy. Why would we spend billions of dollars on solar panels and windmills that produce the quarter of the energy as coal and oil.

Our politicians remind me of ditsy college students that have these pie in the sky ideas on how to create a utopian society. They sit around and ask themselves, how cool would it be to run America with windmills and solar panels? It makes zero sense. One of an advanced society’s goals is to produce the cheapest energy they can. That way they can worry about more important things like inventing and manufacturing new products.

The last thing that bothers me about this bill is that Obama states that this bill will create thousands of clean energy jobs. Who cares? You can’t export clean energy. You want the least amount of people creating energy so its cheap.

Here is a good clip on the Cap and Trade issue:

This ties in with the above article on the carbon tax. There is an economic theory called the Laffer Curve. Essentially the theory and curve illustrates the more a government taxes their society the less productive a society. If Corporate America and small business owners get taxed too much they ask themselves why be in Business? Why would I want to work hard if most of my money goes to the government . Then what  happens is the Government stops getting tax revenue because all the productive people of society decide not to work. This is what is going to happen to America. I foresee the worst of times in 2012. Mass unemployment and a federalgovernment out of control.

Good video about the Laffer Curve. Its a little dry but short. The key thing he says is that that taxing more does not increase revenue for the government. Its very true.

It's hot

This Tea Blog is sponsored by: TEA CONTENT

Saturday: My goal was to wake up at 7:00 A.M and go to McDonald’s for breakfast. I usually eat at McDonalds once a month for breakfast. I just couldn’t make it out of bed. I didn’t get up until 9:15 A.M. By that time I decided to forget about McDonalds and make some breakfast instead. I let my dog out. Then I made some Namring Darjeeling tea. It’s one of my favorite Darjeelings. I like its natural sweetness. I nuked a apple dumpling and watched tv for an hour and surfed the net. Around 10:30 I watered all my plants and that took 30 minutes. I came inside around 11:00 and heated up some leftover Chinese from Friday night. I had some Moo Shu Beef. I made some fresh brown rice to go with it. Along with the Moo Shu Beef I made a cup of Zao Bien Congou. It’s a very robust black tea from the Szechwan valley of China. It’s a tea for experts only. If you are a tea beginner please don’t drink this tea. I decided to really get back into studying for an IT Certification again. If you have been following my blog you know that I put in a lot of time in getting my Comptia A+ and Comptia Network+ Certifications. I decided to work on a Microsoft Certification called, MCTS( Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Configuration). If you pass the test it shows that you are really good on working on Windows servers. I studied for 3 hours. During those three hours I made some Song Zhen Chinese Green Tea. It’s a nice nutty and naturally sweet green tea. From 4:00 to 5:30 I cleaned my upstairs. Then I went to the store and got some food for the rest of the weekend and the beginning of the new week. I decided not to walk on the Katy trail because it was too hot and I wanted to be careful with my dog. I made some Italian white beean soup with chicken and then watched some baseball until 10:00 and then I started watching some movies. The first movie I watched was “Mercury Rising”. Its from 1998. My cousins recommended it. I never heard of it. It had Bruce Willians and Alec Baldwin in it. It was about an autistic kid that was able to crack an unbreakable CIA code. Then of course the bad guys wanted to kidnap the kid and the good guys(Bruce Willis) wanted to keep him safe. It was ok. No surprise why it didn’t do much at the box office. Then I put in “Twillight”. I mainly wanted to see it because I wanted to see what all the excitement surrounding it was all about. I was surprised at how good it was. It was set in a high school in rainy Washington. The High School has a family of vampires that attend the high school. Nobody knows this but the lead actress played by Kristen Stewart. She falls in love with one of the vampires. There is another band of vampires that is trying to kill Kristen Stewart and the high school vampires that she knows tries to protect her. Overall pretty good.

Sunday: I got up at 10:00 and usually on Sunday I set my alarm clock to play a radio station instead of a buzzer. I have the radio set on a modern pop station. It amazes me how bad music is today. Check this out. This is Lady GaGa. It’s the number one song.

I let my dog out. Then I came in and made some Namring Darjeeling and ate 8 mini doughnuts. I put some chicken fries and fries in my toaster oven. I watched Donnybrook while they were baking. Donnybrook is a local political round table on St. Louis PBS. While I was eating the chicken fries and fries I realized that I was getting tired of this kind of food. I may try to give fried food like this a break. I decided to study for a couple of hours. After studying I did some yoga and pushups. I watched some baseball. Right now I’m watching the Yankees play the Marlins. For dinner I’m going to have a buffalo burger with onions. Sunday went by fast.

One of my loyal readers read my article last week about how Obama could have saved GM. I mentioned that Obama prays to the earth and is an environmentalist. This reader pointed out that Obama could care less about the Earth. He only wants votes from people who care about the Earth. Obama cares about one thing and that is him. I agree. Obama wants to control you and wants to get re-elected. Caring about the environment is popular so he wants to make it appear that he cares about the environment.

Obama wants to have Universal Health Care. “Free” health care for everybody. One of the arguments against Universal Health Care is what if you are happy with yours and you want to keep it. Obama states that you can do so. What Obama and his friends in the media aren’t telling you is that he will fine any company that offers health care. The fine will be so high that all companies that offer health care with drop their coverage on all employees.  Then the people that had their health insurance dropped will have to get the governmental insurance. All private health insurance companies will go out of business because they won’t be able to compete with a tax payer funded health insurance plan. The biggest problem I have with Universal Health Care is that people who go to work everyday pay for the people’s health care that chooses not to work. I don’t want to pay for a person’s health care that is capable of working. I’m all for covering the physically and mentally handicapped. Another concern is that Universal Health Care will cover all the illegal aliens that come into the United States. Ask yourself if it’s fair for a person that has been working for 20 plus years to pay for somebody from another country that came into the United States illegally. Do you think our best and brightest people will want to become doctors if they are told what to do by some governmental official in Washington? It is a fact that 80 percent of the population in America have health insurance. The other 20 percent who aren’t covered can use the emergency run free of charge. Why should we change the system for 20 percent of the population who are covered for emergencies? Universal Health Care is all about control. The Federal Government with control all health related aspects of your life. Do you really want that?

This is our President joking with his fellow elitists in the media. He is just a normal guy like you and me. I didn’t know 10% unemployment was funny.

One of Obama’s friends in the media thinks Obama is God. He wasn’t joking.

Saturday:

Friday night I didn’t go to bed until 2:00 A.M. because I took a nap from 8:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. When I tried to go to bed at my normal time I struggled to fall asleep. I got up and read for two hours and then went to bed. On Saturday I didn’t wake up until 10:00 A.M. When I got out of bed I took my dog out. Then I put some chicken fries and french fries in my toaster oven. While those were cooking I microwaved an apple dumpling and make a cup of Yunnan Gold Tea. After all my food. I ran to the bank to deposit my house escrow account refund check. I recently refinanced my house. I got the check on Friday and wanted to deposit it as soon as possible. I’m thinking about using it to get a new garaged installed. I got back from the bank around 12:00 P.M. My place really needed cleaning so I decided to spend some time cleaning the kitchen, bathroom, and also vacuum. I was listening to some baseball games while cleaning. I also had another cup of Yunnan Gold Tea. After the Cardinals/Indians game was over I toasted 3 pieces of garlic bread and heated up some meatballs with Prego sauce. Then I decided to go for a walk with my dog on the Katy Trail. The Katy Trail has a lot of standing water this time of year and that is good for mosquitoes but bad for humans. Mosquitoes breed in standing water but can’t breed in moving water. I sprayed all my bare skin with Off. When I got back from the trail I had 3 bites on my back beneath my shirt. Those mosquitoes are tough and found a way to get to the skin that wasn’t sprayed. I gave my dog a bath and then took a shower. By that time it was 8:00 P.M. I made some broccoli salad and ate some almonds. I watched baseball for 2 hours and then it was movie time. I watched the “Wrestler” and “Wendy and Lucy”. Both were good but not great. I felt sorry for Mickey Rourke’s character in the Wrestler. Also the movie shows how dumb wrestling is. Wendy and Lucy is one of those movies where you watch someone for 90 minutes. A young woman played by Michelle Williams is on her way to Alaska to work in a fish cannery. She is traveling with her dog and her car brakes down in Oregon. She looses her dog and spends the rest of the movie looking for her dog. A little dry but interesting. Then I went to bed.

Sunday:

I woke up and took my dog outside. Then I made some Margaret’s Hope Estate Autumnal Darjeeling. I had a blueberry dumpling along with that. I started watching the Yankees and the Mets. Then I decided to make a pizza. Along with the pizza I had a can of Coke. Then I went outside and did some weed wacking for 20 minutes. Then I came back inside and started watching the Diamondbacks and Astros. I decided to start blogging again. There was a major calling for it. I figure I can start doing it again. I’ll keep it relatively short. I’ll go through my weekend. Review the movies I watch. Then tell you why Obama shouldn’t be President.

I feel that Obama prays to Earth. He doesn’t belong to a church but claims he is a Christian. Environmentalism is a religion to far left liberals. Radical environmentalists favor nature over human beings. Part of environmentalism is to rid the world of carbon emissions. Obama wanted nothing more than to take over the world’s largest car manufacturer and dictate to them what kind of car to make. He says Americans want to drive smaller and more fuel efficient cars. Some Americans want that. But what about Americans that have families and need bigger cars to transport their family around. What about Americans who live in the North where it snows and need to drive heavier truck like vehicles. What about people who love cars and want to drive a sports car. All of these people will be excluded in Obama’s plan. Smaller fuel efficient cars are less safe in crash tests. Obama who never worked in the real world knows nothing about basic economics. You have to let the market decide what people want. It’s never the other way around. Manufacturers don’t make stuff they want to build then hope and pray that people want to buy their stuff. Manufactures make stuff people want. A lawyer/community organizer wouldn’t know this. General Motors had a rebirth in the 90’s when they were selling their SUVs and trucks. They had people working 24 hours a day producing these vehicles. People were buying GM’s products because gas was 99 cents. In 2000 GM’s stock price was $82.00. Then after 9-11 gas prices went nowhere but up. GM went down further and further every year. The politicians that prayed to the Earth didn’t want to domestically drill. They didn’t want to poke holes in Mother Nature. If Obama wanted to save GM all he had to do was to approve domestic drilling.

This is one of my favorite Obama videos. I didn’t know there was an Austrian language. I wonder if it sounds like German.

Last year I told you Obama was immature. Here is a picture of Obama in the Oval Office with his feet on his desk talking to the Prime Minister of Israel. He has no respect for the Oval Office.

Saturday:

I set my alarm clock for 7:15 A.M. When it went off I laid in bed and listened to the radio. Then at 7:30 A.M my phone rang and it was my company's help desk letting me know somebody's hard drive crashed. I called the person with the crashed hard drive and told him that I would come into the office and build him a new hard drive. I got my stuff together and was into the office by 8:30. When I got to the office I made a cup of Yunnan Gold tea and ate a green apple. I started rebuilding his hard drive and it was going very smoothly. At 9:30 I made some lemon rooibos and ate a chocolate chip Cliff bar. By 11:30 I was done with the issue and left the new pc and phoned my user that everything was repaired and told him that he can pick it up whenever. I decided to treat myself to Chinese for lunch for a job well done. I got Hunnan beef, egg role, fried rice, and fried dumplings. I got home and ate the Chinese and watched Lost. Lost was a good episode. After lunch and Lost I played with my dog for 30 minutes. I came back in and made some Namring Darjeeling tea and ate a chocolate fudge biscotti. It was a good combination. I cleaned the kitchen while listening to a replay of the Howard Stern show on Sirius Satellite Radio. When I got done it was 5:00 and the Final Four started. I watched the Michigan State/UConn game. I decided not to watch North Carolina and Villanova because I wanted to watch the Blues play. I knew North Carolina would blow out Villanova. The Blues lost in overtime, which isn't so bad because the got a point for making it to overtime. The Blues got over at 10:00. Instead of watching tv I decided to do some reading. I read Sports Illustrated and also read Sports Weekly. I read for three hours. It was 1:00 and was time to go to bed.

Random Thoughts

Obama is a radical environmentalist and he is showing it with his love of "cap and trade". The media isn't covering this because it's complicated and it wouldn't work in real life. Cap and Trade is system designed to limit pollutants put in the air by evil corporate America. The more pollutants you put in the air the more "carbon credits" you have to buy. Each company starts with a set amount of carbon credits. Once a company uses up all their carbon credits they can buy more from a company that pollutes less. Then of course the government comes in and takes their fair share. The more industrialized a nation the more carbon credits they will have to buy from a less industrialized nations. The European Union wants America to join them in this goofy effort. This cap and trade thing would be somewhat global. The European Union and all the poor socialist countries would participate in it. But Russia and China want nothing to do with it. The world socialists love this idea of cap and trade because it transfers wealth from rich industrialized nations to poor countries. Obama has a vision of a socialize America that is a part of a world government. In a world government you would have two classes, the government elite and the workers. No middle class and no upper middle class. Obama wants to destroy those two classes because it's unfair to poor people. Margaret Thatcher had a famous quote concerning socialism: "The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money."

One characteristic of  Liberalism is that you want everybody to like you. They want  terrorists, dictators, radicals, and criminals to like them. Instead of being honest with those people they would rather cater to them. Obama is making his European trip this week to schmooze the wimpy Europeans who ignore terrorists. All of Europe should have helped us in Iraq but they didn't because they're all wimpy socialist who cower to terrorist.

500 people are traveling with Obama to Europe. Why? I have no idea. That has to be expensive.

Political parties are cults. I'm not a member of any political party. I think of them as cults. I find it strange when an adult will defend a dopey politician on anything they do. Most of the people who voted for Obama will always defend his dumb decisions. They will always twist what he is trying to do and then bring up George Bush. When you hear a talking head speak on the radio or tv and they defend a certain politician over and over. Ask yourself if you find that strange. Democrats and Republicans are the same. I'll never vote for a Republican or a Democrat again unless they truly change to less government.

Anna Kournikova is a hero. I never thought of her in that way. I was watching Jimmy Fallon's talk show last week and he had Anna as a guest. For those of you who don't know her she is a former tennis player that was known more for her looks instead of her tennis play. Instead of lying on a beach somewhere and frivolously spending her millions she volunteers her time and money to the Boys and Girls Club. She is strong proponent of physical education. She speaks across the country at no charge. She was also the winner of the 2007 Boy's and Girl's Club Champions Youth Award. What a nice rich person. Maybe other women should aspire to be like her. Oh wait, in America its bad to be rich and successful.

I have a short, evil rich person story for you. Elkhart, IN is the RV manufacturing capital of the world. You can probably guess that times are tough in Elkhart and it's very hard to sell RVs. There is an owner of a RV seat manufacturing plant that was ready to go out of business. Instead of giving up and folding his company he was smart enough to convert his leather seat manufacturing plant into a leather purse manufacturing plant. He was able to keep all his employees. Did the mainstream media report on this great story? No, of course not. This business owner sounds like someone to look up to.

Lazy Sunday

This Tea Blog is sponsored by: TEA CONTENT

Sunday:

I have to admit Sunday was kind of a lost day. Time went by really quick. I woke up at 10:00. I let my dog out and played with her. Then I came back inside and made some Yunnan Gold Tea. I bought a apple cinnamon muffin from Shop n  Save the day before. I had that and the tea for breakfast. I watched some hockey highlights. I did some web surfing and played with my dog again. Then at 1:30 I decided to go to Arby's for lunch. I ordered a large roast beef and small curly fries. When I got home I discovered they put a small roast beef in my bag. Unfortunately it went to waste because I can't eat two sandwiches and I don't reheat fast food sandwiches. It's a policy that I have. I watched a little college basketball. Then I decided to take a nap. It felt good. I woke up and I made some Clouds and Mist Green tea. I also ate a Twix bar. At 5:00 I went to the Katy Trail with my dog. On the way back to my car I saw this family that all had mini motorcycles and they were riding them on the Katy Trail. Riding a motorcycle on the Katy Trail is very illegal. I thought to myself do I have a moral obligation as a citizen to contact the police department and notify them that people are riding motorcycles on the Katy Trail. I thought about it and came to the conclusion that you don't have to. You're not a bad person if you don't. Sometimes it's better to stay uninvolved. If you see somebody getting beat up then you should call the police. I think it depends on the situation. I made my way home and my brother called and I talked to him for an hour. Then I talked to my parents for an hour. After that my whole wheat bread was done. I had some bean soup, whole wheat bread, broccoli, and green peppers for dinner. I watched some tv. I actually forgot what I watched. I got ready for the week and made lunch for Monday.

Check back tomorrow for Random Thoughts. I'll be commenting on Obama and also tell you why Anna Kournikova can be considered a hero.

Saturday: Big Day, Draft Day

This Tea Blog is sponsored by: TEA CONTENT

Saturday:

I decided not to set my alarm clock the night before. I wanted to sleep in and see how long I would sleep without an alarm waking me up. I didn't wake up until 10:30. I was surprised I slept that late. I guess I was tired from the week. I took my dog out to play for 20 minutes. Then I came in and made some Yunnan Gold Tea. For a light breakfast I decided to microwave an apple dumpling. I sat down and ate that. By that time it was 11:30. I decided to put in some chicken fries and regular fries in my toaster oven. While I was waiting for those to cook I played around with my new Direct TV. Its amazing how many channels there are. After 30 minutes my food was done. It was weird I never have had any problems with Tyson chicken fries but 2 of the fries had bones in them. I know little bones won't kill you but I was still concerned. After lunch I made a cup of  Green Monkey Tea. Then I had to get gas and go to the store. I got 11 gallons of gas. That’s what I need to go to and from work each week. That’s not bad. Then I went to the store. I got broccoli, green peppers, apples, whole wheat English muffins, dog biscuits,  dog bones, paper towels, whole wheat bread mix for my bread machine, bean soup, and two Cliff bars. Do you notice something? All the items are high in fiber. I got home at it was around 2:30. I watched the end of North Dakota/New Hampshire college hockey game. College Hockey started their tournament this weekend. They only start off with 16 teams. They play games both Saturday and Sunday. They are already down to their final four. College hockey calls it a frozen four. Isn't that clever? North Dakota was winning by 3 goals with 6 minutes left. I figured this was cool because North Dakota is my favorite college hockey team and they were going to win. New Hampshire came back and scored 3 goals in 6 minutes. It was amazing. The game went into overtime. New Hampshire scored in overtime and won the game. I couldn't believe what I saw. After the game was over I decided to give my dog a bath. My dog isn't afraid of much but she really isn't into baths. After 5 minutes she wants out. I tell her that I'm stronger than you and you're not going anywhere. After a while she figures that out and settles down. I need about 15 minutes to wash her and then rinse her. After the bath it was 5:30 and I had to get ready for my fantasy baseball draft. It started at 7:30. I got my paperwork together and tested out the website where I was drafting. I got a pen and a highlighter as well. When a player is chosen I highlight his name on my sheets. Before the draft started I decided to order some boneless chicken wings from Pizza Hut. I got a ten piece Cajun and a ten piece spicy Asian. The Cajun was good but there were these strands of what looked like plastic in the Asian chicken wings. They were very strange. The plastic like strands were hard. I had no idea what they were. I usually don't complain about food but I felt I should alert Pizza Hut and ask what these were. I got some dopey girl on the phone and she had no idea. My draft was starting in 10 minutes so I told this person I was going to throw them away. I'm going to email Pizza Hut and alert them. I logged into the draft room and discovered I was picking last. There are 10 people in my fantasy league which meant I had the 10th pick and the 11th pick. Its called a snake draft format. You draft 1 through10 and then back down 10 through 1. I was a little angry about having the last pick. But I was fortunate I got Miguel Caberera and C.C. Sabathia. Caberera is the best 1st basemen in the American League and C.C. Sabathia is the best pitcher in baseball. The draft lasted  for 3 hours. Overall I am happy with my team. It’s a good blend of pitching and offense.

At 10:30 I decided to start watching 2 movies I had from Netflix. I watched "Terminator 3" first and then I watched "Body of Lies" second. "Body of Lies" was the better movie. It had Leonardo Dicaprio and Russell Crowe in it. Leo was a undercover CIA agent that was trying to get information on terrorists. Russell Crowe was his contact back in Washington. It was really good. It gave you some insight as to how we are fighting the war on terror. They were drinking a lot of tea in the movie. Halfway through the movie I decided to make a cup of Yunnan Gold. The tea in the movie looked good. Over in the Middle East they drink of condensed version of tea. They drink small but strong quantities of tea. After the movies I went to bed.

I Got Direct TV and It's Awesome

You get one section a day this week. Check back each day this week. Plus you get a Friday.

Friday:

I took the day off Friday because I was getting Direct TV installed. I had Charter cable and was happy with them except for a couple of exceptions. The have limited hi-def channels and their baseball game package has zero hi-def games. I was excited because I have been thinking about the switch for a while. It's also the same cost as cable but with better options. I woke up at 7:30 because Direct TV was scheduled to come by between 8:00-12:00. I took my dog out. Then I came in and ate an apple and a cliff bar. I surfed the Internet for a little bit. It was 9:00 and I figured I was second or third on their list and I would have to wait around all day. But around 9:15 the Direct TV truck showed up. The Direct TV installer was a nice lady. I showed her my two tvs and then she got started. She put the dish up first and then set up the receiver boxes. While she was working on the installation I prepared for my fantasy baseball draft that was on Saturday night. I listed all the players I wanted in order. I'm really going to take this year serious. The installer got done by 11:15. She show me how the remote work. I told her I was sort of an expert on tv and was familiar with all kinds of remotes. I think she was impressed. The installer took off. I played around with the Direct TV for 20 minutes. Then I decided to get some Chinese. I got some Hunnan beef, fried rice, and a egg roll. While eating I watched the baseball channel. After eating I made some Yunnan Gold. Since it was a nice day I wanted to get out for a little bit. I went to the recycle center to drop some stuff off. Then I went to Barnes and Nobles. I bought a Baseball America newspaper. It’s a publication that specializes in amateur and college baseball. I don't usually get it but they had an interesting article on the ever changing strike zone in the major leagues. After the bookstore I stopped at Hucks to get some cash. I have an Internet bank and if I get cash from a ATM at Hucks there are no ATM fees. Then I went to Lowes to get some Scott's crabgrass preventer. After Lowes I vacuumed my car. Then I finally made my way home. When I turned into my street I saw another Direct TV truck and instantly thought they doubled booked me. It was actually a Direct TV quality check person. He was here to make sure everything was installed properly. I was impressed by the customer service. I came inside and decided to make some Clouds and Mist green tea and also have some Ruffles potato chips and read my new magazine. Then about 5:00 my dog and I went to the Katy Trail for a walk. We walked for an hour. When I got back home I cut up a whole green pepper and one carrot. Then I toasted some French bread. I like to dip French bread in olive oil with some garlic salt and cracked pepper. It sounds weird but it's good. I watched college basketball and preseason baseball. Around 9:00 I heated two bean and beef burritos. For the rest of the night I watched whatever college basketball game was on. My brackets are ok. I filled out four. I have Michigan State winning in one.

Check back tomorrow for Saturday.

I Love Boneless Chicken Wings!!!

This Tea Blog is sponsored by: TEA CONTENT

Sorry for the brief blog. I'll make up for it next week. I'm taking

off this Friday to get something installed. Can anybody guess? It

pertains to something I spend to much time with. I'll blog about

my Friday next week.

Saturday:

The teas I had were Namring Darjeeling, Yunnan Gold, and Clouds and Mist green tea. I decided to read "The Watchmen" graphic novel and then watch the movie. I read the first chapter on Saturday. It's weird but good.  If you read my blog on a regular occasion you know I'm into fantasy baseball. I won my league last year so I have some pressure to repeat. I signed up for a free fantasy baseball league in order to practice drafting and also to see how prepared I am. My draft for my actual fantasy baseball league is next week. I'm glad I practiced drafting in this league because I still need to get prepared. I need to read up on the closers. That was the highlight of my Saturday.

Sunday:

I had some more Yunnan Gold and Clouds and Mist tea.  I had a great lunch. I cut up some broccoli and green peppers. Then I went to Pizza Hut Wingstop and got bone out with mild wing sauce. It was great. Then I did 45 pushups and went for a long bike ride. I came back and juiced 3 oranges. Tonight I'm going to watch the World Baseball Classic. The USA plays Japan. The winner goes to the championship game Monday night and plays Korea.

Random Thoughts:

I don't like people who can't tell the difference between Coke and Pepsi. I think there are very few of them but they do exist. It would be like an adult not being able to tell the difference between a russet potato and a sweet potato. Both are potatoes but with two distinct flavors. Both Pepsi and Coke are colas with two different flavors.

I want to comment on the Barack Obama gaffe that happened this week. For those of you who don't know he went on Jay Leno and he was joking around. He was commenting on his bowling skills and compared himself to a Special Olympian. He was trying to be funny but in today's politically correct world you can't say stuff like that. Many people were outrage and Obama's worshippers defended him. Personally I found it offensive. Its not the end of the world but insensitive. I was more offended at how he said it. It was very nonchalant and appeared like he has said something like that before. I wonder if referencing Special Olympians in a disparaging way is in his vocabulary. I wrote in my past blogs about Obama's immaturity. Here is a great example of that.

This actually made me sick. The Obama administration has decided to call terrorists, "people who facilitate man-made disasters." One of the many problems with liberalism is that the liberals want to make sure they are sensitive to criminals feelings. For example, they are concerned with the criminals in prison and their well being. Do the poor prisoners get fed properly? We wouldn't want to hurt the terrorists feelings and call them killers. I have a new name for terrorists. How about, "brainwashed cowards who kill innocent people?"

I got mad twice this weekend

This Tea Blog is sponsored by:TEA CONTENT

Saturday:

I set my alarm for 8:10 A.M.  I only hit the snooze button twice and got out of bed at 8:30 A.M. I took my dog out and played with her for 30 minutes. After that I came in and made some Namring Darjeeling Tea. It's hard to say what my favorite Darjeeling is because there are so many styles but as of right now Namring is my favorite Darjeeling. I like its natural sweetness. I wish all my readers would try a cup of Namring Darjeeling. For breakfast I made something new I discovered. They are fruit filled pancakes. They are basically fruit goo, the kind you find in Hostess apple pies rolled in pancakes. You nuke them for 2 minutes. They're not bad. I like the apple and blueberry ones. Every Saturday morning while eating breakfast I always watch a taped episode of LOST from Wednesday night. I didn't realize until this morning that it was a repeat. I was extremely upset. I sort of didn't know what to do. I decided to watch a NHL highlight show on the NHL Network. After about an hour I went outside and played with my dog for 20 minutes. Then I came inside and made a cup of Yunnan Gold. Then I decided to sit down and concentrate on an Excel training course called, "Advanced Data Management in Excel 2003." It was hardcore but knowledge enriching at the same time. After I finished the training I decided to get lunch at this Chinese place by my house. For $4.78 I got a platter of Hunan Beef, fried rice, and a egg role. That’s hard to beat. I timed it so I would sit down just as the Netherlands/Venezuela game was starting. Round 2 of the World Baseball Classic started this weekend. There are two pools. Pool 1 has Japan, Cuba, Mexico, and Korea. Pool 2 has USA, Puerto Rico, Netherlands, and Venezuela. The teams in each pool play a round robin. Then for the finals the top 2 teams from each pool play each other in a final four. The Netherlands/Venezuela game was a quick one and Venezuela beat the Netherlands 3-1. After that game I watched the end of the Blues/Red Wings game. The Blues lost. At 4:30 my dog and I went to the Katy Trail. It was unbelievably crowded. I want to walk on the spot where the trail is in the woods and you can see the Missouri River. I would say it’s the most popular part of the trail. I couldn't find a parking spot. Instead of going home I decided to go to a part of the trail that runs a long a busy road. It was better than nothing. We walked for an hour. There were these three spaced out teenagers that were walking on the trail. They were walking side by side and taking up the entire trail. They were walking a 1/4 mile an hour and everybody was trying to avoid them. I wonder about people like this. Are they really spaced out? Are they on something? They were on the trail walking and trying to catch mosquitoes. I'm thinking they should probably look for a part time job. I got back home and gave my dog some fresh water and some treats. Then I watched the Hockey Night in Canada pregame show while doing some stretching exercises and also some pushups. After 30 minutes of that I went to the store. I got paper towels, a giant blueberry muffin for Sunday breakfast, one orange pepper, one head of broccoli, chicken wings, seedless grapes, some bones for my dog, and Lays salt and vinegar chips. I got back and unpacked my stuff. I made a really healthy dinner. I cut up some broccoli, green pepper, orange pepper, and carrots. Then I fried a buffalo burger with fried onions and orange peppers. I put my burger and toppings on a whole wheat English muffin. It was excellent. I was excited for the USA/Puerto Rico game. The game was very embarrassing for the USA. The had to call a mercy rule in the 7th inning because Puerto Rico was winning 11-1. The World Baseball Classic has a 10 run mercy rule. If you're losing by 10 they call the game. My favorite team and my second favorite team lost today. They both play each other tomorrow. After that game was over I watched the end of the Wild and Stars. The Stars won in overtime. Then at 10:00 I put in Terminator 2 on Blu-Ray. It was pretty good. I haven't seen it since 1992. It looked good on Blu-Ray. Then I put in a French movie called Red Balloon. It has Juliette Binoche in it. I'm trying to watch all of her movies. It's very French. That means it has very long shots of people doing everyday things like drinking a glass of wine and walking down a street. Juliette plays the owner of a puppet theatre. I didn't know they still existed. I guess they do in France. It's a movie about her life with her son. She has everyday problems like everybody else. I would only recommend it if you are into foreign movies.

Sunday:

I wrote up a little late. I took my dog outside to play. We played for 20 minutes. I came in and made a cup of  Gen Bei Shi tea. It's a black tea from the Yunnan Providence of China. It's slightly bakey but has a good malty flavor. I had a giant blueberry muffin for breakfast. I like to put honey on my muffins. After breakfast I decided to clean my garage. I basically wanted to sweep it and move some stuff around. I did that for 1 hour. Then I played with my dog. Then I came inside and decided to exercise. I did some yoga and did 3 sets of 15 pushups. I put in some chicken wings and fries for lunch. I also sliced a green pepper and juiced two limes. When I juice limes I mixed the lime juice with one cup of water for every lime I juice. During lunch I watched Cuba/Japan in the World Baseball Classic. Japan beat Cuba pretty bad. I switched over to the Blues and the Wild. I'm working on my blog. I'll watch the USA play the Netherlands tonight. Also I want to start my Genghis Khan book.

Obama spoke on education this week. He said he wants teachers to be on a merit pay system. He is also for charter schools. Surprisingly he is for longer school days and longer years. I disagree with his merit pay idea and so did the teachers union. How merit pay would work is if a teachers students do well then the teacher gets a pay increase. That to me would cause teachers to fudge on a student's grades. The Principle should decide on the teachers pay increase. Obama is for charter schools. For me charter schools are a little iffy. Charter schools were set up to be independent from a public school system. They were set up this way so they could design their own curriculum and give parents more of a say in what their kids learn. I say charter schools are ok if the core fundamentals are taught like reading, writing, math, science, and economics. I was surprised he was for longer days and longer years. After 6 hours kids loose their focus. Also longer days would interfere with after school sports and school clubs. As for a longer year I say kids should have a summer vacation.

It's not the Presidents job to be involved in Education nor is it the federal governments job. Schools should be the state and city governments concern. A President is elected to protect the American people not to interfere in education. We hear from politicians that teachers don't make enough. I think all teachers should start at the grade school level and then work their way up to college level. For example if you are a teacher in grade school and you want to get paid more you must get promoted to junior high. Then you can get promoted to high school and college. If you don't get promoted or want to stay at a certain level then your salary gets capped.

Last week I wrote about how the Obamas are throwing lavish parties every Wednesday. The media is not reporting on this because they are in love with Obama. It originally got out because some CNN staffers were invited and they bragged how they were invited on a website. An organization called Freedomwatch is taking this partying very seriously. They are demanding that the government hand over documents on the cost of these parties. Eventually they will have to take this to court and get the documents. I can't wait until the details come out. This is a big deal because all these parties are being paid for by us. According to Obama, times are tough and we the peasants must conserve but the King can do whatever he wants.

I wanted to comment on Obama's use of the tax system to cause an unnecessary war of the classes in America. Obama wants to call anybody making $250,000 or more rich. He will take their current tax rate of  33%to36% and move it to 39%. At first one might say 3% is no big deal. But 3% more on 250,000 is an extra $7,500 that is going to the federal government. That’s 7,500 less being spent in the private sector. If someone took $7,500 away from me every year I would have to change my life. I feel everybody regardless if they are  rich or poor has a right to keep their money. Why would a middle class person who pays 28% of their income to the federal government feel that a so called rich person needs to pay more to the federal government? Are they jealous? Are they pro big government? Do they listen to politicians that tell them evil rich people are the cause of all their problems and the government needs to take more from rich people to make their life better? The last one is the answer. Politicians won't make anybody's life better. The only one that will make your life better is you.

Tea Spot:

This one is exciting because I'll be talking about how Japan was introduced to tea. Guess who introduce the Japanese to tea? You're right, the Chinese.

During the Heian era (794-1185), Japan was introduced to tea.

Heian era house:

Chinese influence in Japan was at its height and the samurai class was beginning to rise to power.

Emperor Saga was the first Emperor to be introduced to tea.

The person responsible for bringing tea to Japan in 1191 is a Zen Priest named Myaon Eisai (the founder of the Rinsai sect of Zen Buddhism.)

Eisai brought tea seeds and tea bushes back to Japan from China and planted them on the southern most island of Kyushu.

Eisai gave some seeds to his friend and he planted them in the Uji Hills outside of modern day Kyoto, an area that is still revered today for its high quality and expensive tea.

Eisai is credited with popularizing tea drinking in Japan during the Kamakura period (1185-1333)

Eisai is revered in Japan because he weaved medicianal and healthful benefits and religious ideology.

The Japanese Monk, Kukai (774-835) was the first to return from China and write of his tea drinking experience.

Many Japanese poets lauded the refined character of tea and connected it with the importance of seasonality and changing the natural landscape.
